Australia’s first co-ownership website
can help you finally own your own home.

Find a new ‘mate’ to buy a home with or buy a home with someone you already know – we provide the tools to help you navigate the home co-ownership journey.

We believe every Australian has the right to own their own home in a safe and secure way.

Mortgage Mates provides access to Australia’s only Mate-A-Base to find Mates to search for, apply for and purchasing a house together.

Mortgage Mates will share profiles of Mates with information on housing need including location, price and deposit amount and more, including housemate preferences such as whether you are a cat or a dog person!

By matching with Mates who share your housing aspirations, you can increase your affordability to purchase a home to live in, land to build on or an investment property to invest in, with less financial risks and increased legal protection.

If you already know someone who you might want to own a home with (partner, family member or friend), you can use our website to confirm you want the same things as each other, such as deciding whether you want a pool, a shed, looking for a townhouse or villa or whether you rather live in the suburbs or the city!

We also have lots of free resources in the Information Centre to help you safely buy, co-own or even co-live in a property together.
